That’s why when it came to building our company, we knew we had to do it the right way. Not the easy way.
Why We Started
Like a lot of hunters, we trusted the big-name scent brands for years. But after doing our own research, we came to a realization that changed everything: most of those companies don’t even own deer. That means when you buy a bottle off the shelf, you really don’t know what you’re getting. We like to call it mystery piss.
And if we wouldn’t trust it in our own hunts, how could we expect other hunters to?
That’s when we decided to build our own herd and design our own collection facility from the ground up — with honesty, transparency, and respect at the center of it.
Built with Purpose
We spent countless days — and more sleepless nights than we can count — figuring out how to build a system that stayed true to who we are. We refused to let a drop of chemicals touch our facility. If it couldn’t be cleaned with water alone, we didn’t want it. That’s why we didn’t pour a plain concrete floor like everyone else. We engineered something better — a facility that could be pressure washed clean, pure, and chemical-free.
Every decision came back to one simple question: “Would this keep things natural, real, and honest?” If the answer wasn’t yes, we kept working until it was.
Our Deer, Our Family
But the biggest key to what we do isn’t the walls of our barn — it’s the deer themselves. We believe the stress level of our herd has to stay as close to zero as possible. That’s why our deer aren’t just livestock to us — they’re family.
We start them on the bottle, building trust from day one. As they grow, we interact with them daily. They know us, they trust us, and they walk freely into solo stalls when it’s time to collect. No fear. No force. Just trust.
And of course, they get rewarded — cookies, apples, sweet potatoes, or pears. They always have access to fresh grain and automatic waterers. And because we’ve played music for them since bottle-feeding, they grow up calm, familiar, and at peace. Add air conditioning in the summer and heat in the winter, and we can collect in any weather — without ever stressing the deer.
Why It Matters
Some people might say we’re overdoing it. But to us, it’s the only way. Because hunting isn’t about shortcuts, gimmicks, or tricking deer with chemicals. It’s about respect — for the animal, for the land, and for the hunt itself.
